English

English is the language of instruction at Utahloy. While it is the mother tongue and/or first language for some of our students, for the majority English is a second language.

As a faculty we give priority to ensuring there is adequate support for students’ language needs in all of their studies at Utahloy as well as equipping them for further study in English beyond school. We also prioritise creating extension opportunities for students with English as their mother tongue to ensure being away from an Anglophone country does not inhibit their language development.
