Class Parent Representatives

At UISG we have a class parent representative volunteer for each primary school class. The class rep communicates with the home room teacher regularly to find out what parents can do to assist the teacher. Areas where parents' help is needed (and appreciated!) may be in preparations for school performances (eg, stage make-up, costume and props planning, scenery painting), attendance on field trips or school camps, help with special international events, etc. Our class reps also play a big role in UPTA fundraising events.

The class rep will arrange coffee mornings during the school year to request volunteers for events. These coffee mornings are friendly social gatherings for parents to become acquainted with and to support one another; they are especially important for welcoming new parents to the school.

The class parent rep does not get involved in any curriculum issues; although if he/she hears of a parent with particular concerns she may direct the parent either to the teacher, the Head of Primary School, or to a member of the UPTA.
