Early Year's Chinese New Year Celebrations 2018 Reviews

Spring festival is a valuable time for the youngest children at UISG to learn about the host country culture.

The celebration ended with a shared lunch in the classroom where Chinese parents brought traditional Chinese food to share.

The celebration started with the children’s wonderful stage performance of singing and dancing. The children, led by also enjoyed rotations of three different mini-cultural workshops led by the Chinese teaching assistants. These included  making fish for the children to learn about why fish is a special dish for dinner on Chinese New's Eve, catching the lucky the ball, writing couplets with the parents’ help, making a dog to celebrate the spirit of the dog, delivering tangerines to the parents,a lucky money race contest and the twelve Chinese zodiacs storytelling.

The celebration ended with a shared lunch in the classrooms where Chinese parents brought traditional Chinese food to enjoy.
