UISG athletes participated in a badminton tournament at Clifford this weekend. It was a well-attended tournament with eight schools from the Pearl River Delta competing against one another.
The team should be proud of their achievements today. There has been a noticeable improvement in emotional control, stamina and skill. We must congratulate our number one seed Emily Zhi-Cheng for winning all of her games. She is a valued member of MS Badminton. In addition, the coaches recognise the effort and talent of Bona – Ruo Ran Hou who played a strong first tournament with her partner, McQueen in the mixed doubles.
This is what some of the team said after the tournament had ended:
Flora – Kim Soo In:
"I met friends from the last tournament"
En Xi Zhang:
"I experienced my first badminton tournament"
Lisa – Elisabeth Gscheider:
"I liked playing doubles"
Andy – Dong Hyun Oh:
"I liked becoming the number one seed"
We would like to thank the parent of Bona – Rou Ran Hou for supporting our team this afternoon and her kind words of encouragement.
Then majority of our singles players won most of their matches, and they should be proud of their individual achievements. We thank all members of the team for their commitment and congratulate them on reaching fourth place out of the eight participating schools. Go Wolves!
