Our Year 4 students became very knowledgeable during our unit of inquiry ‘How we organise ourselves’. They worked collaboratively and independently to gain in-depth knowledge of natural disasters with each drawing relevant conclusions in relation to our central idea. The students then made interactive models of volcanoes and supporting posters to showcase their knowledge and deep understanding. Well done Year 4!
Our PYP students had great fun letting their creativity and imaginations loose during their Robotics class. They worked in teams to plan and build new robots while learning key science and engineering concepts, such as how pulleys, levers and motors work. As the robots took shape, the students then discovered how to apply computer programming concepts and find new ways to get their “bot” moving. Who knew that STEM could be so much fun!
