Message From Deputy Head - Secondary School
The Secondary school caters for students from grade 7 –12 and is ‘housed’ in a newly built school which facilities include 2 science labs, an extensive library, an IT room and 16 large classrooms. As well as this the school has a 50 meter swimming pool, football field, a gym, a music and art rooms on the lake.
The school day consists of 6 fifty minute lessons and a lunchtime activity (Monday – Thursday) of thirty minutes. All students study Maths, English (at their appropriate level), Chinese and PE. In grade 7 & 8 students sit pre IGCSE classes in these subjects as well as Drama, Art, Music, Humanities and Science.
In grades 9 & 10 students follow the IGCSE (International General Certificate of Secondary Education) course from Edexcel which are assessed by external exams at the end of grade 10. We offer the follow subjects at IGCSE – Art, PE, English Language, Maths, Science, Chinese, English as a Second Language, Drama and Geography.
In grades 11 and 12 we offer the IB Diploma program where students study six subjects as well as Theory of Knowledge and CAS. An IB Diploma will gain students entry into Universities all over the world.
